You know what's awesome?
Psych.
I've always really enjoyed that show, but then I found out that it's on Instant on Netflix. So, of course, I've been watching the first few seasons when I get a chance.
One of my favourite things about the show is the communication between Shawn and Gus. Then, in episode 9 of season 1, Forget Me Not, I noticed something hilarious. Shawn distracted a ranger that he and Gus were stealthily interrogating SPECIFICALLY so they could share a disbelieving look.
Here:
Ranger: "Fact is, we had a guy killed by a mountain lion just a couple days ago."
Gus: "Does that kind of thing happen often?"
Ranger: "Oh, a few times in the past fifty years."
Gus: "I thought mountain lions were afraid of humans."
Ranger: "Generally, but if they get hungry enough... We've had a really dry year; that means reduced vegetation. Reduced vegetation means fewer deer for the lions to feed on [this is where Gus notices the lie].
Can't really blame the cat. It gets hungry and it wants to eat."
"You mind if I ask you a question that's completely unrelated?"
"Sure."
"Is that...real mahogany?"
[Turns to look. Obviously confused.]
THIS LOOK. RIGHT HERE.
Guys. Seriously?
